Networked Media Open Specifications (NMOS) are a family of specifications that support the professional AV media industry's transition to a "fully-networked" architecture. The NMOS specs are developed by the Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA) and are published on GitHub.
Discovery and Registration: Provides the mechanism to discover NMOS devices such as video sources and their audio and video capabilities.
Device Connection Management: Provides the ability to connect audio and video streams between devices.
Network Control: Provides the ability to discover network topology and to set up Quality of Service (QOS) enabled flows through the network.
