The Macnica MPA1000 4K AV over 1GbE Module allows manufacturers to include IPMX interoperability in any video product with a minimal investment in engineering.

An FPGA module useable as an encoder or decoder, the MPA1000 is ideal for product prototypes and for smaller production runs. For larger runs (or more compact products) consider our ME10 System on a Chip.

IPMX offers the best solution for transporting video over IP networks. It is a  collection of free, open standards that will allow you to deliver encrypted 4K UHD 60P 4:4:4 content and control from any video product over a standard 1GbE connection. You can use IPMX as you wish without any licensing fees, but normally you would need to make a significant investment in engineering time to put it to work in a finished video product.

That’s where Macnica comes in. As an AIMS member company, we have spent years helping to develop the IPMX standard, while at the same time packaging our knowledge and intellectual property for other companies to use.

Simple configuration and control is the core principle in the design of this module. It is field-configurable to transmit or receive routable UHD video, audio, USB, and HDMI control signals (EDID, HDCP, HPD, CEC, etc) over IP.

Once connected to the network, the module’s traffic is discoverable through the RESTful NMOS protocol - an open standard for publishing and discovery of content streams in broadcast. Every module includes a built-in web server with a RESTful API and a web application that is ready for customization. Host access is provided through an optional dedicated standard interface (Ethernet or serial).

You can buy the MPA1000 on its own, or as part of a Development Kit ideal for testing, development and prototype production.
