About Macnica Technology
Macnica Technology is a division of the $6B Macnica Group, specializing in intellectual property and products for live video applications.
In 2011, we began developing intellectual property to support the shift from Serial Digital Interface (SDI) to Internet Protocol (IP) based infrastructures. Leveraging our high-speed networking expertise, we successfully demonstrated the first implementation of our SMPTE ST 2022-1/2/5/6 intellectual property at NAB in 2012. Today, we continue to develop and aid in the definition of the emerging standards that are shaping the Video over IP migration.
Macnica offers solutions for ST 2022-1/2/5/6/7, ST 2110, ST 2059-1/2, NMOS, and IPMX. For compression, we offer pre-integrated solutions for J2K, TICO, and JPEG-XS. For a full listing of standard definitions, please see our Technology page.
An active member of the Video Services Forum (VSF), the Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS), Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA), and the Society of Motion Picture & Television Engineers (SMPTE), Macnica understands the requirements and the challenges of designing successful video over IP products. We educate our customers on the standards and assist in architecting solutions that will meet the requirements for their respective Broadcast, ProAV, and medical markets.
